How could her mom betray her for The Forresters? Brooke shouts that she did it for Ridge, to return the company to him. Hope is shocked. She criticizes Brooke for always choosing Ridge over her and for the constant rejection she faces from him whenever she makes a mistake, asking when it will end. Katie enters and defends her sister, while Brooke tells Hope she won't allow her to scold her in her own home. Hope tries to slap her, but Katie intervenes. Brooke demands that she leave her house. Hope breaks down, walking toward the front door as Brooke grabs her arms and hugs her. Hope sobs and cries that she's sorry and loves her mom.
