Emma Samms and Tristan Rogers Wrap Up Their Port Charles Stay… For Now!

The show has plans for their return.

On Tuesday, November 12th, General Hospital fans saw Holly and Robert make a bittersweet departure as they embarked on an undisclosed journey. But don’t worry—according to Soap Opera Digest (https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/exclusive-emma-samms-is-enormously-grateful-for-robert-and-hollys-gh-happily-ever-after/) , this isn’t the last we’ll see of these beloved characters. The show has plans for their return in the new year!

Reflecting on their scenes, Emma Samms (Holly) expressed gratitude to the dedicated Robert and Holly fans. "I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we did it justice for the fans who are so enormously supportive,” she shared, adding, “Everyone has always wanted [a happy ending] for them, and that absolutely fits the bill.”

Acknowledging the fans who have long championed the couple, Samms added, “I feel like we are honoring Robert and Holly, but we’re also honoring all the people who have embraced Robert and Holly… who are so vocal and so enthusiastic—and sometimes, so demanding! [laughs] And I think that’s what it takes for the powers-that-be to realize [a couple’s importance].” She credits the fans for keeping the Robert and Holly legacy alive, assuring them, “When they see those scenes, they’ll realize, ‘This is for them.' "
