Stephanie dreams of Joy appearing very pregnant. Upon waking, she finds Alex beside her, who reassures her that Joy is not pregnant. In Washington DC, Steve and Marlena demand answers! Shane informs them they lost track of John in Estonia. Xander confronts Theresa, asking why she is out of prison. She explains she was released early, leaving him stunned. He reminds her that she still owes him for abducting his daughter. Xander tells her to stay away from Maggie, Sarah, and Victoria. Phil wants to speak privately with Steph. Phil asks if she will tell her boyfriend that he forged the letter. Stephanie replies, "No, it would cause suffering to everyone." They agree, "We are never going to tell Alex about any of this." Meanwhile, Xander overhears them as he stands behind a tree.

Shane delivers shocking news to Theresa, leaving her completely devastated. Could it be that her mother, Kimberly Brady, has significantly worsened? The situation is serious enough to force Theresa to leave Salem. Brady attempts to provide as much support as possible to Tate. Despite Brady's efforts to support Tate, with John Black missing, both father and son are in need of comfort. Alex learns about Joy's decision. At the conclusion of Tuesday’s episode, Joy had something significant to tell Alex—and on March 19th, she tells him her decision, but what is it? Stephanie and Philip are unaware that Xander is eavesdropping on their conversation. In the previous episode, Philip and Stephanie decided not to tell Alex about the forged letter, not realizing that Xander was secretly listening. Will Xander confront them? Sarah does her best to conceal her concerns from Maggie. The step-siblings getting along is quite troubling for Sarah, and she must also maintain a calm demeanor in front of her mother. Will it all unravel?
